Lightweight Mobile Yard Ramps

There are many areas which require a ramp to load/unload lightweight goods or equipment from vehicles without the need to use a heavy capacity unit. This ramp has been developed to meet such a need. The ramp can have either a solid durbar anti-slip floor surface or an open structure for outside use. The structure has been produced with a useable width of only 1525mm in order to reduce the overall weight of the ramp to enable it to be manipulated by two people without the use of fork trucks, etc. if required. The ramp can be provided with handrails for the full length of the ramp at either side if required. The standard being provided with handrails for only the top 2400mm of the ramp at each side.

Capacity of ramp 3000kg with heavy duty ramps up to 15,000kg.

Ideal for unloading empty trolleys and lightweight loads.

Can be provided with a fork truck towing point if required (see insert below right)

Open grid mesh (M) surface for outside use is standard.

Option of durbar anti-slip finish for inside use (S).

Included as standard are solid tyres with bearings and 1.8m of safety chain each side for securing ramp to a vehicle or loading dock.

A stabilising wheel is incorporated under the front of the ramp to prevent tipping and assist manoeuvrability.

The slope of the ramp meets the requirements of the European standards for inclines.

Height adjustment is achieved via a hand operated hydraulic pump.

Height of handrail 1000mm

Clark Handling also offers bespoke designs or even Rent-A-Ramp on request, call us on 0845 6029663 for further information.

Dock Levellers

Counter Balanced Drawbridge Type Dock Leveller -- Fixed Type

This type of leveller is ideal for fitting to existing docks to eliminate the need for any structural work.

The Dock Leveller is welded and anchored to a built-in steel channel 150mm deep which must exist on the edge of the dock (not supplied). If this does not exist see Goalpost details below.

When not in use the leveller is stored and locked in the vertical plane.

To operate the leveller, the foot lock is released and the leveller can then be lowered to the vehicle bed. (see foot lock below right.)
Strong springs under the leveller make operation easy, as the springs counter balance the leveller during operation.

Height differences between vehicle and dock are self compensating.

Levellers are available in various widths and lengths as detailed with capacities of either 4000kg or 6000kg.

Safety side curbs are fitted as standard.

Vehicle Loading Conveyors

Mobile units that can be extended into vehicles to assist with moving parts.

Dock Plates

offer a less costly way of loading and unloading vehicles.

Counterbalanced Drawbridge Levellers

Designed to accommodate varying vehicle heights, strong springs under the leveller make operation easy as the springs counterbalance the leveller. We fit safety side curbs as standard.

Drawbridge Dock Leveller Ramp Combos

Designed for vehicles with a larger height difference to speed up the loading of vehicles and provide ramps which can be up to 6000mm long, 2000mm wide and 4000/6000kg capacity can now be provided by our drawbridge leveller ramp combination. See picture showing application into vehicle.

Application of a combination ramp into a vehicle   Ramp in raised position with lifting positions clearly indicated   Ramp in lowering position

Ramps can be secured to ground to prevent movement when in use, but can also be moved via cut outs under the ramp to different locations if required.

Cut-outs can only be provided on primary ramps which are a minimum of 250mm high.

The unit provides capability of a mobile dock leveller.

Provides a capability of catering for high height differences whilst achieving the European standard of a 7¡ incline.

Because the drawbridge leveller is stored in the vertical position the actual storage area is reduced by the size of the dock leveller used.

Safety side curbs are fitted as standard on the combination.

The drawbridge leveller operates in its normal manner whilst attached to the primary ramp.

The method of securing the ramp into position can be made to suit customers requirements.

Poweramp 232

The Poweramp 232 is a fully hydraulic dock leveller with a swing/hinged type lip. As all our other products, the Poweramp 232 satisfies the highest requirements. The Poweramp is a long lasting dock leveller designed to give low maintenance requirements.

Call us now on 0845 602 9663 for more details on the Poweramp range of equipment.

Truckloada

The Truckloada is suitable for loading / unloading any vehicle or raised loading bay area with loads up to 3000Kg and ideal for vehicles without tail lifts. Several sizes and capacity of lift are available to suit various applications. No pit is required as the lifting gear is mounted on the platform and the unit is fully mobile. The minimum height (46-56mm) relates to the height of the platform when at it minimum height. This ensures very easy initial loading of the pallet/cage. The machines are mounted on four heavy duty bearing castors. Wind down locks are provided to hold the platform firmly in place during use. When correctly set up the loading and bridging ramps are fully automated and are supplied as standard. Special types are available on request (fixed and drive through types).

Push button controls

2-3 tonne capacity

2000Kg capacity lift speed

3000Kg capacity lift speed

Dock Shelter

Creates an effective weatherproof seal between dock & vehicle.

The shelters are used to form a seal between the door opening and the vehicle, permitting loading/unloading under cover.

The shelter reduces the heating and cooling costs whilst protecting both personnel and goods.

The curtain material is either neoprene or PVC with flexible stays sewn in for rigidity.

Building requirements demand a flat fixing area with no projections.

The fixing kit provided includes steel shelter brackets.

Other sizes available

Inflatable Dock Seals

Also creates an effective weatherproof seal between dock & vehicle, with the fast inflating seal also reducing heat loss. "A proven cost-effective inflatable seal against heat transfer whilst maintaining environmental control"

Seals to different vehicle heights, widths and shapes.

Minimises vehicle and seal damage as the seal is only in contact once the vehicle is in the required position.

Excellent visibility for reversing as the seal is deflated until vehicle is in position.

Lightweight construction imposes minimal structural strains on the building.

Application of shelter
Application of 700 seal

ThorTights polyamide fabric coated with chloroprene rubber provides a hard wearing material that is smooth and resilient on all models.

Standard ThorTight units fit the majority of loading bays and vehicle configurations. Non standards can be provided.

The seal inflates and deflates around a vehicle in just 30 seconds.

A low cost inflatable seal is now available in Neoprene material which provides an improved 'low cost alternative' to standard dock seals and shelters.

Bumpers

Essential for protecting your loading bays from accidents with reversing vehicles and in turn preventing damage to trailers themselves.
